Enermax Liberty DXX 500W Power Supply Review
Enermax has always catered their power supplies to the enthusiast community, and in general, they have manufactured good quality products. PC Perspective has just posted a review of the Enermax Liberty DXX 500W power supply.
Here’s what they had to say:
“The Enermax Liberty line of power supplies from Enermax has earned a reputation for very good reliability and stable power. The original Liberty units came out about two years ago and were recently upgraded with the addition of PCI-E 2.0 cables to make the DXX series. Overall, the Liberty DXX 500W power supply proved to be a very good unit with clean, stable outputs and minimal noise. The units are showing their age however when it comes to efficiency. And as Ryan proved, the Enermax Liberty DXX 500W PSU had no problem at all powering an AMD HD 2900 XT video card.”
Overall, this is a very capable unit. While there are arguably better 500 watt power supplies on the market, the Liberty DXX is a proven performer. On a side note, I really liked this review, because it demonstrated that if you pick a quality power supply, you don’t need 700W+ to run a high-end configuration.
