Nexus Northbridge & Memory Coolers Review

Tue 2008-04-01 - Posted by Patrick "MACMAC" MacMillan
BurnOutPC has just reviewed the Nexus NHP-2200 northbridge cooler and HXR-5500 memory cooler.

Let’s see what they had to say:

“The North bridge cooler not only looks cool but does a great job of cooling the chipset as well. I haven't measured the temperature drop because it wouldn't be relevant. There are so many different boards out there, but as you might have expected. It does cool a heck of a lot better than stock! The HXR-5500 Memory coolers are very cool looking. They come in three different colors and their fairly easy to install, just as long as you can remove the original heat spreader from your memory modules. Overall two really nice products for not too much money.”

The NHP-2200 is a decent product, but it is not better than the similarly priced Noctua NC-U6. On the other hand, the HXR-5500 is a pretty good value at ~$11, and cools much better than standard heatspreaders.
