CPU Cooler Reviews - CM, Tuniq, Zalman & More
Hardware Secrets, PureOverclock, Rbmods, TestSeek, Tweaknews, and TweakTown have reviewed various CPU coolers from Cooler Master, Tuniq, Xigmatek, Zalman, and ZEROTherm.
Let's see what they had to say:
- Hardware Secrets: Cooler Master Hyper TX3 CPU Cooler:
"In our tests Hyper TX3 proved to be a cooler with good performance. It did not cooled our CPU as good as top shelf coolers, but the cost/benefit ratio proved to awesome. Besides that, it has an excellent noise level and a very practical installation on Intel or AMD CPUs.
So Cooler Master Hyper TX3 CPU cooler deserves the Hardware Secrets Silver Award."

- PureOverclock: Tuniq Tower 120 Extreme CPU Cooler:
"The Tower 120 Extreme is available at online retailers for $60 USD, sitting in the mid-upper end of the air cooler market, though that price is reasonable for a premium, high performance cooler. That being said, if you're willing to pay a very modest premium for a premium product, Tuniq's Tower 120 Extreme is a great choice, showcasing gorgeous aesthetics and excellent cooling performance."

- PureOverclock: ZEROTherm Nirvana 120 & Core 92 CPU Coolers:
"Both the ZEROTherm Nirvana 120 PWM and Core 92 offer great aesthetics, very easy installation, and surprisingly solid performance for their price tags. They cannot match the sheer cooling prowess of the top coolers on the market, but they're not meant to. Instead, they are good all-around coolers for Core i5/i7 systems that look good, can run very quiet, offer great stock speed cooling and moderate overclocks at a good price. They may not excel in any one category or criteria, but they do a very nice job in all of them, which is often rare to see these days."

- Rbmods: Zalman CNPS10X Extreme CPU Cooler:
"Zalman has done it again, this cooler performs excellent like the previous high end coolers from Zalman. It has a fan controller which makes it very easy to turn on more speed on the fan if you are going to play or if the computer gets unstable. I believe this cooler sells for around 50$ right now which is quite inexpensive compared to others on the market. Installation was very easy and the socket support makes this a very reliable cooler that you can use for a longer period of time. I will give it our recommendations for super performance at a decent price level."

- TestSeek: Zalman CNPS9900A LED CPU Cooler:
"There are so many things I can say about the Zalman CNPS9900A LED, it is truly a remarkable product in terms of looks, design, size, weight, performance etc. But the one thing that really left an impression with me was its outstanding quality and finish.
When CNPS9900A LED is running it looks really nice with its blue LEDs which gives your system a nice touch provided you have a case with a side window. Without being the highest performing CPU cooler I have tested, its overall performance is excellent. Its balance between moved volume of air, noise level and secured temperatures is impressive."

- Tweaknews: Cooler Master Hyper N620 Heatpipe CPU Cooler:
"To sum it all up, Cooler Master's new Hyper N620 CPU cooler is BIG, both in physical size and performance, yet leaves a relatively small acoustic footprint. The included blue LED fans are a nice addition and the mounting solution is very robust, if a bit fussy to install. If maximum cooling and impressive looks are at the top of your list when shopping for a CPU cooler, don't overlook the Hyper N620. Just be sure it will fit inside your case."

- TweakTown: Xigmatek Balder SD1283 HDT CPU Cooler:
"In my opinion, the little bit of a premium price is worth it to me. Not only do I get my flashiness that I love, but I get performance levels that I have come to expect from Xigmatek. The $46.99 is only the MSRP, which means once it hits shelves it can be had possibly even cheaper. I for one am glad Xigmatek has changed the square fins, moving to the “x” configuration. This makes the Balder not only a rebirth for Xigmatek’s 1283 lineup, but a nice choice for cooling in any rig."
